The main aims of SEANAC are;
- To promote analytical chemistry in the region through collaboration, research, research training, teaching and information sharing.
- To facilitate inventory, access, operation, maintenance and repairs of analytical equipment
- To collaborate with organisations of similar aims.
Strategies in place to achieve these aims include hosting of workshops and conference to disseminate analytical chemistry and to use it as an avenue for building research collaborations and develop training needs.
These meetings are also used to conduct needs assessments for the different regions on the continent hence allowing SEANAC to design appropriate interventions.
